‘Bridgerton’ Season 4 Casts Yerin Ha as Benedict’s Love Interest Sophie Beckett
“Bridgerton” has cast Yerin Ha as Benedict Bridgerton’s love interest for Season 4.
According to sources, Ha will play Sophie Beckett in the upcoming season of the hit Shondaland-Netflix series. As previously announced, Season 4 will tell Benedict’s (Luke Thompson) love story and will be based on the events of Julia Quinn’s third “Bridgerton” novel, “An Offer From a Gentleman.”
Beckett is the “Lady in Silver.” In the novel, she is the illegitimate daughter of an earl and one his maids. She was brought up in her father’s house, though he never publicly acknowledged her as his daughter.
Ha is perhaps best known to American audiences for her role in the Paramount+ series adaptation of the “Halo” video games. She appeared in both seasons of the series in the role of Kwan Ha. Her other credits include the Australian shows “Reef Break,” “Troppo,” and “Bad Behaviour,” as well as the independent horror film “Sissy.” She will next appear in the Max prequel series “Dune: Prophecy,” which is slated to air in November on the streamer.
She is repped by WME and Morrissey Management.

It's like a ping pong game now isn't it? And MM doesn't know how to play this game, it's going from bad to worse for Madame Markle..
Well, the rumor as per Lady C (so take with a truckload of salt) is that allegedly Meghan planted the original Hollywood Reporter story herself so she could get some sympathy PR. Supposedly Meghan gave the HR reporter one name to use (my money's on the individual who still works at Archewell because no way would that person talk without Meghan's explicit consent) and the guy dug up the other 11 on his own.
The Us Weekly was 100% a clapback to The Hollywood Reporter. Given how quickly that story came out, it was definitely in the works when HR published. The Sussexes' "no comment" answer to the HR was because the Us Weekly story was already in progress. Which I suspect Ari and WME were probably aware of as well, given how they've nuked similar "exposes" for other clients. It was out of character for them to let a story like this get published without interference, just like it's out of character for Meghan to take a complaint like this lying down.
And now there's a new exclusive in The Daily Beast. The story about Meghan popping off on a florist is not new and has been around for a long time (which is different from the wedding florist rumor), but the preceding quote about how she's happy when everything goes her way but becomes "demonic" when it doesn't is new.
Is this the start of a press tsunami? Certainly does feel like it, and that's significant because Talking Tarot (an old tumblr blogger from the Sussexes' early days whose track record was very good but who left royal-watching in 2020/2021ish) predicted a press tsunami very similar to what we saw August - November 2018 preceding a Sussex divorce announcement.
What feels familiar about this, as also happened in the 2018 press tsunami (and ignoring Lady C's allegations since they can't be verified), is that the originating source of these stories is not a Sussex affiliate planting PR at Meghan's behest but rather someone acting independently, followed by Meghan (with Harry) clapping back so egregiously that other stories, other leaks, other sources speak out.
And this is different from the saga with Tom's letter. Remember, Meghan wrote that letter intending for him to leak it so she could get sympathy PR and when he didn't, she baited him with the People 5 Friends story. That's her usual MO, one we've seen time and time again since November 2016: Meghan claims one thing. Harry or the BRF (or Tom in the People instance) say something else. Meghan claps back with a new narrative or she doubles down.
But I'm advising caution. While this press tsunami eve (if you will) looks promising, we've had many false starts before. Let's see what happens next. Does Meghan respond to The Daily Beast? Does this go away? Or is this the fatal chink in the armor that makes the Sussexes' glass house finally collapse?

EXCLUSIVE: Oscar-winning producers See-Saw Films (The King’s Speech) are gearing up on Tenzing, about the inspirational life of Sherpa Tenzing Norgay and his summit of Mount Everest in 1953 alongside fellow outsider New Zealander Edmund Hillary.
A search is currently underway to cast the lead role of Tenzing Norgay who will star alongside BAFTA-nominated Tom Hiddleston (Loki) as Sir Edmund Hillary, and Oscar winner Willem Dafoe (Poor Things) as the English expedition leader, Colonel John Hunt.
Tenzing comes from filmmaker Jennifer Peedom who has the exclusive rights to tell Tenzing’s story via his family and has a close relationship with the Sherpa community after making acclaimed documentary Sherpa.
Script comes from Oscar-nominated Luke Davies (Lion) and producers are Liz Watts, Emile Sherman and Iain Canning for See-Saw Films, alongside Jennifer Peedom and Luke Davies. Executive producers are Simon Gillis, David Michôd and Norbu Tenzing.
Tibetan born Tenzing Norgay, alongside New Zealand mountaineer Edmund Hillary, both outsiders on a British Expedition, defied insurmountable odds to achieve what was once thought impossible, reaching the summit of the world’s tallest mountain, Mount Everest. After six previous attempts, Tenzing risked everything for one final venture. He had to navigate treacherous politics and perilous weather as he embarked on the most significant climb of his life. Through it all, he did so with humor, warmth, and generosity towards his fellow climbers, but also deep reverence and respect for the sacred Mother Goddess of his Mountain, Chomolungma.
This will be one of the hot projects at next week’s Cannes market where Rocket Science will be handling international sales in partnership with Cross City Films, See-Saw’s in-house sales arm. UTA Independent Film Group and Cross City Films are co-repping the U.S. sale. We understand filming is being lined up for spring 2025.
Peedom, known for her intimate portraits against epic landscapes, including documentaries Solo, Sherpa and Mountain, said: “I could not be more thrilled to be bringing Tenzing Norgay’s story to the screen. I’ve been working towards this film my whole career, and I’m incredibly grateful to Tenzing’s family for entrusting me with it. I am excited to work with See-Saw Films and our amazing cast to bring this story to life. Tom Hiddleston and Willem Dafoe are two of the most generous and talented actors in the business, so pairing them with our brilliant Himalayan cast is going to be electric. I have no doubt this film will resonate widely. We all have our own mountains to climb, and this film shows us what human beings are truly capable of.”
Producers Emile Sherman and Iain Canning added: “We are so excited to embark on this exhilarating ascent led by one of the most inspirational directors we’ve encountered, Jennifer Peedom. Her award-winning experience in the world of high-altitude filmmaking, alongside her unique relationship with the Sherpa community and her masterful storytelling skills make her the perfect director for this film.”
Norbu Tenzing, son of Tenzing Norgay, commented: “Jen is somebody who has earned the respect of our people, understands the community, and is deeply immersed in our culture. She’s a great human being and someone that we trust, and she has had a lifelong interest in the story of my father Tenzing Norgay. I am delighted that she has taken on this project and can’t wait for the world to see who my father was.”
Hiddleston is represented by UTA, Hamilton Hodell, and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole. Willem Dafoe is represented by WME, The Artist Partnership, and Circle of Confusion.

EXCLUSIVE: The Life of Chuck, the Mike Flanagan-directed genre-bending film that won the Audience Prize at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, is in final talks to be acquired for distribution by Neon, which Deadline hears is eyeing a 2025 release.
Flanagan wrote the script from a Stephen King novella, and the film stars Tom Hiddleston, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, Mia Sara, Carl Lumbly, Benjamin Pajak, Jacob Tremblay and Mark Hamill. The Life of Chuck bowed on Friday night, September 6 as a Special Presentation.
Flanagan and cast were there, as was the author. Flanagan previously directed Doctor Sleep, based on the novel King wrote that was a sequel to his masterwork, The Shining. Flanagan also adapted and directed an adaptation the King novel Gerald’s Game. The Life Of Chuck novella is part of a four-story collection If It Bleeds.
The Life of Chuck is broken up into three acts, and told in reverse and from the perspective of the inhabitants of a small town in America. It begins with a world in freefall: the internet has failed, and TV and cell phone transmission seems next. Climate change is another major problem with California all but fallen below the Pacific Ocean, and suicides are skyrocketing.
Amidst the chaos, there is a slew of billboards touting a man named Charles “Chuck” Krantz (Hiddleston), and congratulating him for being a guiding presence for 39 years. Nobody in town knows who the hell he is, or whether he might have some answers as their world crumbles all around them.
Flanagan produced with his Intrepid Pictures partner Trevor Macy.
WME Independent repped the film, while FilmNation is selling internationally.

Good lord, this is brutal. I can’t believe this is People magazine. They say she’s “guarded” and not authentic and WME has to find them people who actually know how to create content because Spotify didn’t provide them enough support and they have an enormous web of people around them and can’t make any decisions.
I’m not sure where they go from here. Yes, they have Invictus/Sentebale content coming up, but both those entities operated under the royal umbrella (and still mostly operate within those parameters). It’s not independent content, which they don’t seem capable of creating.

Dylan O’Brien Sets ‘Twinless’ With James Sweeney Directing & Starring; Republic Pictures Takes Global On Three Point Capital & David Permut Production
EXCLUSIVE: Dylan O’Brien is set to headline in James Sweeney‘s dark comedy Twinless, which the latter wrote and will also star in. Republic Pictures has taken global rights to the movie. Cameras are currently rolling on the movie in Portland, OR. O’Brien will executive produce.
The pic follows two young men who meet in a twin bereavement support group. An unlikely bromance develops between them. Twinless follow Sweeney’s directorial debut, Straight Up, which notched the filmmaker a Best First Screenplay nom at the 2021 Independent Spirit Awards.
Three Point Capital is financing the film with Ali Jazayeri, David Gendron and Liz Destro also serving as EPs.
Twinless is produced by Academy Award nominated producer David Permut and Permut Presentations (Hacksaw Ridge, Face/Off) whose most recent Netflix movie, Rustin, garnered Colman Domingo a Best Actor Oscar nomination.
Miky Lee (Parasite) Vice Chairwoman of CJ and who most recently executive produced the Oscar nominated film Past Lives, serves as EP.
Permut Presentations Director Of Development Alex Astrachan co-produces.
Permut said, “I was absolutely knocked out by James’ first film Straight Up and was determined to work with him. I immediately responded to the originality and provocative concept of Twinless. The dark comedy depicts complex characters in such an irreverent, emotional and hysterical way. The chemistry between Dylan, who portrays the role of identical twin brothers, opposite James’ character is absolutely combustible.”
O’Brien’s most recent film is the independent feature Ponyboi, in which he plays a villainous pimp and small-time drug dealer, recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. He will next be seen in the upcoming films SNL 1975 (from director Jason Reitman) as Dan Aykroyd, Caddo Lake (from the writing-directing team of Logan George and Celine Held, and producer M. Night Shyamalan), and Anniversary (a thriller co-starring Diane Lane, Kyle Chandler, Zoey Deutch and Phoebe Dynevor). The $1.7 billion grossing star is well-known to audiences from his work in The Maze Runner franchise, as well as the hit MTV series Teen Wolf.
Permut also recently produced the Paramount+ series hit, Lawman: Bass Reeves from Taylor Sheridan, which stars SAG nominee David Oyelowo. His upcoming high priority slate includes Being Heumann written and directed by Academy Award winner Sian Heder (CODA) at Apple, Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris’ (Little Miss Sunshine) film The Invite, and Face/Off II at Paramount, the sequel to Permut’s 1997 hit film, to be directed by Adam Wingard.
Sweeney is repped by UTA, 2AM and Brecheen Feldman Breimer Silver and Thompson. O’Brien is repped by WME, Principal Entertainment, and Lichter, Grossman, Nichols, Feldman, Rogal, Shikora & Clark and Permut is repped by John Tishbi at Pearlman & Tishbi.
Three Point Capital, established in 2009, is a financier and service provider in the film, television, and commercial industries. They have financed over 400 films, including The Butler, Clerks III and the Oscar-winning Manchester by the Sea. They most recently provided funding for the upcoming Michael Keaton starrers Know Goes Away and Goodrich, the Nicholas Cage starrer Longlegs, the Tina Fey/Jon Hamm comedy Maggie Moore(s) and the recent Sundance premiere Rob Peace.
Paramount Global Content Distribution is revitalizing the former Republic Pictures label, originally founded in 1935. The newly branded acquisition label will leverage Paramount Global’s vast worldwide distribution channels, across home entertainment and third-party distribution platforms to distribute a wide range of acquired films. Republic Pictures is an acquisition-only label under Paramount Pictures.

Zayn Malik Writing New Music for Animated Feature ’10 Lives,’ Will Duet With ‘Bridgerton’s’ Simone Ashley (EXCLUSIVE)
Zayn Malik is writing new music for upcoming animated feature “10 Lives” and is set to perform a duet with “Bridgerton” star Simone Ashley for the film, Variety can confirm.
Malik and Ashley also both star in the film, with the former One Direction singer playing tough-guy twins Cameron and Kirk while Ashley voices student Rose. Malik, who is currently working on his next studio album with Mercury Records, is also an executive music producer on “10 Lives,” overseeing the film’s musical creative direction.
Directed by Chris Jenkins (“Surf’s Up”), “10 Lives” tells the story of a pampered and selfish cat who takes his many lives for granted. After carelessly losing his ninth live he begs for a second chance — and an opportunity to prove he can learn from his mistakes. When his wish is finally granted, however, he learns that it comes with some caveats.
Also lending their voices to the film are Bill Nighy, Mo Gilligan, Sophie Okonedo, Dylan Llewellyn and Jeremy Swift.
“I always enjoy my time in the studio creating from my perspective,” said Malik. “While creating music for ’10 Lives,’ I was able to immerse myself in a narrative that I hadn’t dictated and able to bring the characters’ emotions into the music rather than my own. I really enjoyed writing specifically to bring them all to life. It’s a film that’s not only fun to watch but has a very beautiful sentiment for people of all ages. I hope people love it, and the music we created really connects and transports them deeper into the ’10 Lives’ world.”
Guy Collins and Sean Feeney produce for 10 Lives Prods. alongside Martin Metz and Adrian Politowski for Align, Yann Zenou for Quad, Valérie d’Auteuil and André Rouleau for Caramel Films and Louis-Philippe Vermette for the Happy Producers. Robyn Klein and Jeremy Ross cast the project while the animation was produced by L’Atelier Animation in Montreal.
“10 Lives,” which will screen for distributors at AFM, is a GFM Animation production; GFM is also handling international sales. WME Independent is repping domestic rights.
Casting directors and music supervisors Robyn Klein and Jeremy Ross said: “We always love bringing the worlds of film and music together and could not be more excited that we got to do this with Zayn on ‘10 Lives.’ A great film and a great song come from the same place. Combining his songwriting, acting and vocal skills, Zayn brought joy, emotion, and depth to the film while connecting and highlighting all of its important themes. This is Zayn at his absolute best.”
Malik is repped by Nicola Carson of Zen Kai Management and Taryn Zimmerman. Ashley is repped by Creative Artists Agency, Identity Agency Group, R&CPMK and Myman Greenspan Fox Rosenberg Mobasser Younger & Light.

Now of course this is the THIRD project we’ve heard of and the other two are nowhere to be found so don’t get too too exited but any news is good news.

Reasons why the moderator and the non-celebrity panelist were chosen for MM's SXSW panel by u/Hermes_Blanket
Reasons why the moderator and the non-celebrity panelist were chosen for MM's SXSW panel The DM has revealed that moderator Erinn Haines wrote an article for the Independent on the "new fairy tale" when MM married Haz. Here's the linkhttps://https://ift.tt/dit6QrB panelist Nancy Wang Yuen was the guest on an episode of Meghan's Spotify podcast in 2022. The pair discussed the "Dragon Lady" trope and the "hypersexualization of Asian women in popular culture and beyond". It was a forgettable episode in a forgettable series, so few have made the connection. So both these ladies can reasonably be expected to give MM a friendly reception. Archewell as sponsor no doubt had a voice in the decision to bring them aboard.Another sinner mentioned that WME represents Katie Couric. That explains her presence. Is Brooke Shields also a client of WME?All this makes me pretty sure that there will be no hard-hitting questions tossed MM's way, and that this is another step in the rebranding -- look, MM is on a panel with celebrities, and they all adore her!But obviously the members of this panel wouldn't be appearing together if any organization except Archewell were sponsoring it.DM article: https://ift.tt/gV6abOL post link: https://ift.tt/Mq1IAdk author: Hermes_Blanket submitted: March 07, 2024 at 06:40PM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit Disclaimer: All views + opinions expressed by the author of this post, as well as any comments or reblogs, are solely the author's own; they do not necessarily reflect the views of the administrator of this Tumblr blog. Anon is right. SEO aside, Meghan is constantly sabotaging herself. She is extremely unlikeable. She is workshy. She is rude. She is never complimentary towards anyone else. She is always whining. She does not deliver on her promises, contracts, commitments. She criticise everyone. She is constantly trying to clapback at any and all online criticism. She brags about the smallest things, embellishes, over reacts, over acts. All her projects are abandoned halfway through, then she badmouths the people that worked on those projects.
And all of this is evident from whatever she says and does publicly. Her interviews, speeches, documentaries have shown all of these facets of her personality time and time again.
So, how much and how far is mere SEO going to take her?
Anna sorokin, Zack Avery etc are very recent examples of griftres who talked a big game, enjoyed very high end lifestyles but eventually got caught (years later, but still they did get caught). Meghan's play seems very similar to these two. Especially, the financial shadiness. Her obsession with good press and high praise will be her downfall.
At this point, she has no real body of work except the Netflix reality show. That was the only thing, according to me at least, that they put some effort in. Everything else has eventually just flopped. (I count spare as Harry project not Meghan's.) All of Meghan's independent projects have been flops. And that's because she spends too much time, money and effort on PR and passive agressive own goals, instead of actually working.
You do realize that SEO is a PR tool, right?
I'm not sure where you got the idea that I disagree that it's an effective strategy for her. Just because Meghan can use the data generated by SEO and PR to get deals with WME, Invictus Games, Netflix, Lemonada, etc. doesn't mean that she's going to be successful at it. I never said that and if you think that's what I said, you didn't understand that post.

“The Life of Chuck”
Director: Mike Flanagan Section: TIFF Special Presentations Domestic Sales: WME
Yes, it has Mike Flanagan directing, and yes, it’s based on a Stephen King book, but “The Life of Chuck” is not a horror movie; in fact most will say this is King channeling his “Shawshank Redemption” or “Green Mile” era. Tom Hiddleston plays the seemingly ordinary accountant Chuck, whose face oddly winds up everywhere Chiwetel Ejiofor’s character turns. The film, which was made independently under a SAG-AFTRA interim agreement, hasn’t screened yet to anyone despite selling some territories in advance, but Flanagan is said to give the film a life-affirming, humanist spin and evokes some great work out of Mark Hamill in a supporting role.
